How to apply
All teacher training courses are applied for via the Department for Education’s ‘Apply for Teacher Training’ portal. Applications for the academic year 2025/26 are now open.
To register your interest in a SWIFT Teacher Training course, in advance of applying, please contact us. We will keep you up to date with information on events, courses and applying for teacher training.
Bursaries and Scholarships
Postgraduate teaching bursaries and scholarships are only available for the subjects listed below. You cannot receive both a teaching bursary and a scholarship. The DfE have announced the following bursaries and scholarships for training in 2025/26.
You must be eligible for student finance to receive a bursary or scholarship (unless you’re training to teach physics or languages).
You cannot receive a scholarship or bursary if you’re on a salaried teacher training course.
