How to apply
All teacher training courses are applied for via the Department for Education’s ‘Apply for Teacher Training’ portal. To apply for the academic year 2025/26 the application portal opens on 1 October 2024 and you will be able to submit your application from 8 October 2024.

Bursaries and Scholarships
Postgraduate teaching bursaries and scholarships are only available for the subjects listed below. You cannot receive both a teaching bursary and a scholarship. NB This is based on funding for 2024/25 and may change for 2025/26.
You must be eligible for student finance to receive a bursary or scholarship (unless you’re training to teach physics or languages).
You cannot receive a scholarship or bursary if you’re on a salaried teacher training course.
